Shrimp Creole Base Mix
Ingredients
Ingredients: Enriched Bleached Wheat Flour ([Bleached Wheat Flour, Niacin, Reduced Iron, Thiamine Mononitrate, Riboflavin, Folic Acid], Malted Barley Flour), Dried Onion, Dried Green Bell Pepper, Salt, Dried Tomatoes, Paprika, Dried Garlic, Cornstarch, Dehydrated Green Onion, Dried Celery, Sugar, Spices, Paprika Oleoresin.
Directions
COOKING INSTRUCTIONS 1 MELT BUTTER (5 TBSP.) IN A 4 QT. SAUCEPAN. ADD SHRIMP CREOLE BASE. MIX WELL AND ALLOW TO SIMMER FOR 5 MINUTES. STIR OFTEN. 2 ADD COLD WATER (2 CUPS) AND A CAN OF TOMATO SAUCE (8 OZ.). STIR OVER LOW HEAT AND SIMMER FOR AN ADDITIONAL 15 MINUTES. 3 ADD PEELED, UNCOOKED SHRIMP (1 LB) TO THE BASE AND SIMMER FOR 15 ADDITIONAL MINUTES OR UNTIL THE SEAFOOD IS THOROUGHLY COOKED TO 145 F. SERVE OVER COOKED RICE. ENJOY
