DIRECTIONS: RANGE TOP SERVINGS 1 WATER (OR MILK) 3/4 CUP OATS 1/4 CUP SALT DASH SERVINGS 2 WATER (OR MILK) 1 1/2 CUPS OATS 1/2 CUP SALT TSP SERVINGS 6 WATER (OR MILK) 3 CUPS OATS 1 CUP SALT 1/4 TSP MICROWAVE SERVINGS 1 WATER (OR MILK) 3/4 CUP OATS 1/4 CUP SALT DASH FOR THICKER OATMEAL USE LESS WATER OR MILK. FOR THINNER OATMILK USE MORE WATER OR MILK. RANGE TOP 1 BRING WATER (OR MILK) AND SALT TO BOIL. STIR IN OATS. 2 REDUCE HEAT TO LOW. SIMMER UNCOVERED FOR 5 TO 7 MINUTES, STIRRING REGULARLY. REMOVE FROM HEAT AND LET STAND FOR 1 MINUTE BEFORE SERVING OVER LOW HEAT. MICROWAVE 1 ADD 3/4 CUP OF BOILING WATER TO 1/4 CUP QUICK COOK STEEL CUT OATS AND DASH OF SALT IN DEEP MICROWAVE-SAFE DISH (LEAVING ROOM FOR THE OATS TO EXPAND DURING COOKING). COOK ON HIGH FOR 3 MINUTES, STIR AND COOK FOR AN ADDITIONAL 2-3 MINUTES. REMOVE FROM MICROWAVE AND ALLOW TO STAND FOR 1 MINUTE BEFORE SERVING. AS MICROWAVE OVENS VARY IN POWER, YOU MAY NEED TO ADJUST YOUR COOKING TIME.
